INTRODUCTION:

The Getter Mcry Dispenser (GMD) is designed for CCFL. They can not only release the Mcry needed but also absorb active gaseous impurities. The applying of Getter Mcry Dispenser does not have the pollution caused by the traditional Mcry-filling methods. The getter powder (0.5~10mg) was filled in ready cup or long tube, subdivided dimension fromФ0.8 to 2.1mm, compact makeup, no worry of losing powder, easy mounting with the ready wire support, adjustable filling powder meets different needs.

WORKING CONDITION:

In double tip-off technology, the GMD sealed into the glass envelope, in a chamber adjacent to one of the electrodes, and heated by high-frequency induction to release its mcry dose. The lamp is tipped off a second time and finally the part containing the piece of GMD is removed from the device. After activation of the dispenser and before the final tip-off, the getter sorbs gaseous impurities (especially hydrogen and oxygenated gases) present in the lamp. Suggested GMD activation conditions are 875±25and 30s. When put in vacuum, Getter Mcry Dispenser begin to release Mcry around 500. Therefore, extra high temperature shall be avoided during the baking and exhaustion procedure lest the lost of Mcry. Once the original packing has been opened, getter shall be used up soon and usually it shall not be exposed to the ambient atmosphere more than 24 hours. Prolonged storage of getter after the original packing has been opened shall be always in a dry atmosphere.
