INTRODUCTION:

Pressing TK101 and TK505 alloy powder onto strip makes the Getter Mercury Dispenser (GMD). The getter can not only release the Mercury needed but also absorb active gaseous impurities in fluorescent lamp. The applying of GMD strip does not have the pollution caused by the traditional Mercury-filling methods. They are used for electrical lightings and vacuum devices, The GMD can be activated by means of high-frequency induction, electrical heating, radiation heating or laser heating.

WORKING CONDITION:

Suggested GMD activation conditions are 875±25℃and 30s. When put in vacuum, Getter Mercury Dispenser begin to release Mercury around 500℃. Therefore, extra high temperature shall be avoided during the baking and exhaustion procedure lest the lost of Mercury. Once the original packing has been opened, getter shall be used up soon and usually it shall not be exposed to the ambient atmosphere more than 24 hours. Prolonged storage of getter after the original packing has been opened shall be always in a dry atmosphere.
